Okey Bakassi Makes First Big-Screen Project with ‘Bank Alert’

Upcoming Nollywood movie, “Bank Alert”, is a comedy-drama about a struggling family man who unexpectedly finds himself in trouble after receiving a whopping sum of N500 million in his bank account. The man has no idea who the sender is but goes ahead to spend the money lavishly and puts his loved ones in harm’s way.

The movie, which boasts of a host of veteran actors, takes you on a journey of squabbles, mishaps, and turns everyone’s lives topsy-turvy. The funny dialogue and the sight of the veteran actors seen in the trailer has helped build anticipation. ‘Bank Alert’ features fantastic cast lineup which includes Bolanle Ninalowo, Kate Henshaw, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Taiwo Hassan, Uzor Arukwe and Tina Mba.

In a recent post announcing the movie, Okey Bakasi wrote: “I got the ‘Bank Alert,’ and I’m happy to share with you from the 24th of November, 2023 in cinemas nationwide.” ‘Bank Alert’ joins the list of Nigerian titles to open in cinemas this November.

Directed by Akay Mason and produced by Wingonia Ikpi, the feature is co-produced by FilmOne Studios, Trino Motion Pictures, Tribal Marks Media and Sterling Bank. Aside from playing the lead character, Okey Bakassi (real name Okechukwu Anthony Onyegbule) is also the executive-producer of ‘Bank Alert’.

Although not his first acting gig, this film is his first big-screen project. The stand-up comedian has featured in some productions such as My Flatmates, Madam President, Badamasi, Love Is in the Hair, and many others.
