PDP Reconstitutes Edo Caretaker C’ttee

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has named Tony Aziegbemi Chairman of its reconstituted Edo State Caretaker Committee.
The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, announced in a statement on Tuesday that the caretaker committee has been tasked with overseeing the party’s activities in Edo State for a maximum duration of three months.
The statement read: “The National Working Committee of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party, has on behalf of the National Executive Committee, pursuant to Section 29(2)(b) of the PDP Constitution (2017 as amended), approved the appointment of the Edo State Caretaker Committee to pilot the affairs of the Edo State Chapter of our Party.
“The members of the committee are Harrison Omagbon, Fidel Igenegbale, Chris Nehikhare, Tony Anenih Jnr., Arch. Bishop Anthony Okosun, Segun Saiki, Adezat Kuburat Ibrahim, Augustine Edosomwan and Henry Duke Tenebe (Secretary).
“The Edo State Caretaker Committee is charged with the responsibility of running the affairs of the Party in Edo State, as stipulated under Section 21(2)(a-b) of the PDP Constitution for a period not exceeding 3 months.
“The NWC charges all members of the party in Edo State to remain united and continue to work with the Caretaker Committee for the stability and success of our Party.”
The PDP also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and other relevant bodies to take note of the appointment and structure of the Edo State caretaker committee headed by Aziegbemi and to act in accordance.
