Born Ahmed Ololade in Lagos, Nigeria, Asake is a celebrated and award winning Nigerian singer and songwriter. His breakout into the industry wasn’t a walk in the park as he had his ups and downs but after a record deal with YBNL led by the creative genius of Olamide, he did have his solidified entrance into the viable Nigerian music scene.

In September 2022, his debut album Mr. Money with the Vibe was released, breaking the record for the biggest opening day for an African album on Apple Music at the time. The album debuted at number 66 on the Billboard 200 chart and recorded the highest charting Nigerian debut album in the history of the chart. His sophomore album, Work of Art was released in June 2023, becoming his second album to debut at number 66 on the Billboard 200.

This track record of achievements led him to achieve another milestone which was in August 2023, as he joined Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy as the only Nigerian artists to have sold out the O2 Arena in London, during which he made an epic entrance in a helicopter. His musical style is characterised by infectious rhythms, catchy melodies, and lyrics that often reflect themes of love, celebration, and life experiences. Also his versatile vocal delivery and ability to fuse different genres have earned him a growing fan base both locally and internationally.
