No fewer than 500,000 families in Lagos state have benefited from the House on the Rock’s ‘Project Spread’ initiative which launched out over a decade ago.

The initiative was envisioned as a gesture of goodwill to uplift vulnerable families during the festive season through the donation of food and household items, amongst others to underserved communities in Lagos.

This year, this projected held in two different Lagos communities, with no fewer than 2,400 persons as beneficiaries.

Speaking, the co-Pastor, House on the Rock, Ifeanyi Adefarasin, stated that the project represented a beacon of hope aimed to unite communities in joy and solidarity.

She explained,” At the heart of ‘Project Spread’ is the Christ-like ideal of reaching out—of extending a hand to those less fortunate. This is the essence of Christmas.

“As we celebrate this season, let us follow the example of Christ who gave freely to all and let that selflessness be the beacon that lights our way.”

She equally urged well-meaning Nigerians to embrace the act of giving and showing love to those who have less.

“Your involvement is essential in perpetuating this cycle of giving, ensuring that the true warmth and love of Christmas is experienced in every interaction, every gesture, every home, and heart around the world,” she said.
