A gang of heavily armed men have reportedly abducted two persons and killed one in Ora town in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State over the weekend.
Already, soldiers have been deployed to the town to maintain peace and comb surrounding bushes to fish out the criminals and rescue the victims.
The incident, according to THISDAY’s checks, happened when the unknown gunmen invaded the town around 8.45 p.m., on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
It was gathered that the development, however, led to the abduction of two females following the sporadic shooting that accompanied the incident.
Apart from this, one person was allegedly killed by the suspected gunmen in the crossfire during the chaos and many left injured.
The Kwara State Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Okasanmi Ajayi, has confirmed the incident.
Ajayi said: “The command, in conjunction with other security agencies, including vigilante and hunters are hot in the search and rescue of the victims and possible arrest of the abductors of the Ora kidnap incident of Saturday’s night”.
