Onyejeocha Gets Anglican Church Knighthood

The Anglican Communion has bestowed on Nigeria’s Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, the Knighthood of Saint Mary the Mother of Jesus (KSM) in honour of her contributions to the church and society.

The investiture took place at the Anglican Church of Favour Eluama Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, and was presided over by the Anglican Bishop of Isuikwuato-Umunneochi, Rt. Rev. C.C. Anyim.

In his admonition to the Knight elects, the Anglican Bishop of Aba, Rev. Christian C. Ugwuzor, urged them to be good soldiers of God. He reminded them that they had been carefully selected for the honour because of their contributions to the church and society, and encouraged them to continue to uphold and continue their good deeds.

He also reminded them that their investiture was a call to continue serving the Lord with boldness and commitment, even in the face of turmoil and temptation.

Dignitaries at the service included the mother of the Anglican Diocese of Isuikwuato-Umunneochi, Mrs. Vienna Obianuju Anyim; the President MU, WG & GG, Hon. Collins Ugochukwu Obi; President, Council of Knights Isuikwuato-Umunneochi; and other prominent personalities.
