Jigawa Pays 343 Retirees N715m in February

The Jigawa State and Local Government Contributory Pension Scheme has paid the sum of N715.7 million to 343 retirees as terminal benefit for the month of February 2022.

The Executive Secretary of the Pension Scheme, Mr. Kamilu Aliyu Musa, dropped the hint while briefing news men in Dutse yesterday.

He explained that a total of 198 beneficiaries from the state got N484.9 million while 78 retirees from the local government were paid N107.1 million. 

The executive secretary further explained that 67 retirees from the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) were given N123.6 Million among others.

The executive secretary also stressed that Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has always given directives on prompt payment of the retirees benefit in the state.

According to him, since the assumption of the present government, retirees’ benefits remained the most important issue among its agenda.

He, therefore, commended Badaru for supporting the scheme to achieve the recorded success.
