The prolific author Dr Bukar Usman recently in Abuja presented with an award in recognition of his contributions to Biu Emirate. Dr Usman, an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, was specifically acknowledged for promoting the emirate’s history and culture and breathing life into the Nigerian folklore industry.
The leadership of Biu Emirate Students Association (BESA), Ahmadu Bello University Chapter had earlier, in a letter signed by its president Abdullahi Ibrahim Bwala, notified him of this award.
