As part of its corporate social responsibility, Investment One Financial Services Limited has donated a borehole and water treatment plant to the Falomo Police Barrack community in Lagos.

The Chief Information Officer, Investment One, Fagbemi Olufisayo, who represented the General Managing Director, Nicholas Nyamah, at the commissioning of the facility, pledged to support the development and empowerment of the host community across the country.

Olufisayo noted that Investment One was trying to build up innovation and relationships to be close to the community by understanding the needs of consumers in a given community.

He said the organisation is committed to the provision of innovative solutions that support Nigerians as well as empower communities to do more by staying healthy all times, adding that the issue of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in developing countries should form part of the business strategic plans of organisations, because expectations and awareness of host communities now influence the operations of both multinational and indigenous firms.

According to him, one good thing about the inauguration of the borehole is the provision of clean water to the community, adding that erecting the borehole in the Police Barracks symbolises a great partnership with the community.

“We want to demonstrate that Investment One Financial Services is a good corporate citizen. Drinking water is a fundamental human right of any citizen.

“Hence, we will be committed to the monitoring of the project to keep the water running. We have always been a very socially-responsible organisation and we have been engaging with our host communities.”

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Admin, Bassey Ewah, earlier in a welcome address praised Investment One Financial Services Limited for its support to the cause of empowering the active poor in the community, describing the company as a greatest financier, supporter and source of inspiration because of its passion and concern for the downtrodden.

Ewah, who also described the water project as another most thoughtful, generous, and kindest corporate act, said Investment One has been the corporate positive voice in the area who has demonstrated an unmatched and unprecedented concern and action by providing a borehole and a water treatment plant that cost millions.

He noted that the organisation has greatly impacted the social and economic environment of the barracks.
