Eunisell, sponsor of Nigeria Professional Football League side, Rivers United, has backed the Port-Harcourt-based team to reach the final of the 2021 AITEO Cup.
Rivers United and neighbours, Bayelsa United, will contend for a place in the finals, when they clash in the semi finals today at the Agege Stadium.
“Eunisell is confident Rivers United has the quality to reach the finals and win the Cup. Victory in the semi-final will set the stage for the finals. It is an opportunity to showcase the Eunisell values.
“Rivers United have the players and coaching crew to reach the finals of the AITEO Cup. The team has displayed strong character in previous matches,” Eunisell said in a statement yesterday.
Head Coach, Stanley Eguma, won the knock out tournament in 2001, in his first attempt.
It promises to be a titanic clash as Rivers United play in the top flight and is tipped to overcome the second tier campaigners.
Rivers United has a strong record in Nigeria’s Cup history with victories in 2001, 2004, 2006 and 2007, respectively, when it was known as Dolphins.
Eunisell, West Africa’s largest independent chemical as well as oil and gas engineering solutions company, has been sponsor of Rivers United since its formation in 2016.
