Alpha Mead Launches Call2Fix Maintenance App
By Chiamaka Ozulumba
Alpha Mead Group, a real estate solutions company, has launched a new technology mobile application, Call2Fix, for professional and adequate building maintenance and repair services in Nigeria, and Africa.
Call2Fix is a mobile app designed to bridge the gap between the customers and the skilled artisans swiftly. With professionalism, transparency, and accountability as its core features, Alpha Mead’s Call2Fix improves accessibility to quality building and maintenance services.
The Group Managing Director, Alpha Mead Group, Mr. Femi Akintunde, who addressed journalists at the hybrid launch of the app, said Call2Fix is on the quest to connect people and organisations in need of quality building repair services with trained and reliable artisans or material merchants closest to them from the comfort of their mobile devices.
While noting that Alpha Mead is leveraging its processes and systems and has embraced technology as the nexus between these business operations, the GMD expressed that it took over 36 months of research, development, several iterations, experimentations, learnings, and validations.
His words: “We are confident that Call2Fix will not just change the dynamics of building repairs in Africa, it will also become a cynosure of a sustainable and robust Proptech solution that other segments of the Real Estate will adopt.
“Our excitement is not only about presenting the product today but also about the socio-economic solutions that the product will provide to all stakeholders within the repair and maintenance value chain.”
According to Akintunde, Call2Fix offers customers economic empowerment like SMEs in the Real Estate sector. “Call2Fix is a platform where they are reaching more ready-made customers, which will consequently increase their earnings.
“The social impact of employment and wealth creation that Call2Fix will create is also something that excites the company thoroughly.”
For Call2Fix, Alpha Mead is optimistic that the new standard it will set for maintenance services will echo back into technical education and present the market with more qualified and professional artisans.
“At another level, we are aiming that Call2Fix will give organisations better visibility into their operations spend and reduce overhead operations and maintenance costs,” says Akintunde.
This informed our decision to add an enterprise feature that will allow relatively small sized office facilities either within a rented commercial complex or stand alone, to manage their space right from the Call2Fix app.
Speaking also, Head, Marketing and Corporate Comms, Alpha Mead Group, Olusesan Ogunyooye explained that during the research and development process, the spectrum of challenges in the building repair value chain were summed up to security, convenience, accountability and reliability.
He said the Call2Fix has been put together to resolve these issues around these challenges.
Ogunyooye emphasised: “We have all had personal experiences with artisans such as plumbers, electricians, AC repairers and carpenters among others who either keep them waiting for hours or miss appointments, charges fraudulently, and yet, still do a shabby job. Call2Fix is out to change this narrative.”
With Call2Fix, he assured newsmen that customers need not worry again about quality services, finding the right artisan, security of their homes, or having the fear of being swindled by artisans.
“The app is built to empower the customer throughout the entire transaction process from the comfort of a mobile device,” Ogunyooye hinted.
