Re: Gbenga Oyebode, a Retraction

We would like to retract the story we published on 2 May 2019, titled “Police Invite Gbenga Oyebode over Allegations of Money Laundering”, in which it was suggested that Mr Gbenga Oyebode/ Aluko & Oyebode were being investigated in respect of allegations of money laundering and other misconduct.
Information now available to us indicates that neither Mr Gbenga Oyebode, Aluko & Oyebode nor A&O Secretarial Services Limited was investigated in respect of allegations of money laundering or other misconduct.
We hereby retract the publication in its entirety, and we apologise to Mr. Gbenga Oyebode, Aluko & Oyebode and its Board and Partners and A&O Secretarial Services Limited for any inconvenience or embarrassment the publication has caused them.
