FRSC RS5 Zonal Commander Tasks Special Marshals on Diligence, Unity

The Federal Road Safety Corps RS5 Zonal Commander, Assistance Corps Marshal A.A. Kumakpaye has reiterated the roles of special Marshals as critical agents in the road safety architecture of the country.

Speaking at the formal decoration of the new RS5 Special Marshals Zonal Coordinator in Benin City, Edo State ACM Kumakpaye noted that the activities of special marshals were not only complementary but also vital in the drive for safety on the nation’s highways.

The FRSC Zonal Commander said the Corps has ensured that only men and women of proven integrity and passion for voluntary service are vested with the responsibility of special marshals because of the critical nature of road safety activities.

He therefore charged the RS5 Special Marshals Zonal Coordinator, Mr Friday Ekhator to endeavour to carry along all special marshals in the zone which comprises of Anambra, Delta and Edo states.

ACM Kumakpaye assured him that the Corps would continue to provide all necessary technical support to enable special marshls in the zone carry out their activities effectively.

Responding, Mr. Ekhator promised to discharge his duties as the FRSC Special Marshals Zonal Coordinator with diligence and utmost responsibility.

He thanked the FRSC Zonal Commander, the Edo state Sector Commander and all the special marshls in the zone for the confidence reposed in him and other newly elected officials from across the three states

Highpoint of the event was formal decoration of Ekhator with the Special Marshal’s zonal vest by ACM Kumakpaye, assisted by the Edo Sector Commander, Corps Commander Henry Benemesia and Head of Operations, Asst. Deputy Corps Commander Akune.
