Gudu market in the precinct of Apo has come under attack from suspected hoodlums, alleged to have jumped the fence and attacked the traders.
Eye witnesses said one of the victims was attacked with dagger and was rushed to the hospital by the police, who are in charge of the market.
A reinforcement of additional policemen and officers has been dispatched to Gudu market.
However, the Public Relations officer of Abuja Market Management Limited, Mr Innocent Amaechina, said the attack degenerated from market quarrel, which is being fully handled.
The FCT police spokesperson, ASP Mariam Yusuf has confirmed the incident. She said operatives had been deployed to provide security at the facility.
