Tatiana Dike; sister to popular Nollywood Actress Tonto Dike, has taken to her Instagram account to share with the public how she attempted to give up on life some weeks back due to depression, but failed. She said this was after she got help from some kind members of the public.
She wrote, “So, I’ve been wanting to do this but I was worried about what the world would say about me… It’s my own testimony!!! three weeks ago, I thought of my life and then the devil spoke to my spirit and said, “Tatiana, you are a failed parent. Your daughter is ashamed of you and your efforts are all wrong and boom, I gave in. That night, I realised God had a purpose for my life because I drank hypo and to me, I said to myself I was going to die and have peace. The next day, I woke up to the sound of my alarm and I pinched myself and realised I didnt die as expected, no tummy aches, nothing. That morning, I sought to find help and I talked to my angel in human form @gorsky2211 and he said, I needed to seek help and my journey for help began.
“I put up a post on @womeninportharcourt page and then, another angel asked I sent her a DM @noise1405 which I did and she made sure I started going to a rehab. I didnt only find help, I found a big sister in her. Before my help, I was a monster to my child, always sad, very aggressive and that was when I was told I had clinical depression. On this journey of healing, it hasn’t been easy but God has been faithful.
“Even though the mood swings come often, I am a lot better than I was now all because I got people who showed me love and God who kept me alive. Thank you to all those who knew my journey and have been patient with me.
“@gorsky2211 thank you for taking absolute care of me and my daughter, @noise1405 thank you for letting me be your baby sister and for helping me through this journey despite your own challenges, @lianna95 thank you for understanding and to my bestie @fab_.prince, you made sure you told me how much you loved me every morning and that helped me heal faster too.
“When you feel depressed, speak up, seek help, don’t stop till you find it! Suicide isn’t the best way out of your challenges.”
