A technology services firm, Tzumtzum Nigeria Limited, has launched a taxi price comparison mobile application – Readytaxis – and immediately hosted it on popular mobile operating platforms Android and iOS. The firm disclosed this in a statement sign in Abuja that the web-based platform and app will allow users or potential commuters compare prices and pre-book cabs to ease their logistics challenges which it said has remained an indispensable social issue in most growing capital cities in Nigeria. According to the statement, in statement, Readytaxis works with local suppliers, giving subscribers and customers lower prices and more choice than any other taxi service provider.

“With Readytaxis you can book the ride for a single person or a large group, either way we will get you there cheaply and safely,” it said. Founder of the firm, Baba Daniel Sulaiman, noted that Readytaxis had become Nigeria’s first ground transport comparison app and website, adding, “you can compare cabs on the system and app and select the most suitable transport option of your
choice at a glance.” Sulaiman explained that riders could choose among the app’s wide fare comparison offers which include like Ready L which is basic; Ready M which is Premium economy; and Ready XL for luxury vehicles booking.

He stated: “We also do phone booking and web booking which helps riders book for trips in the comfort of their homes.” According to him, the platform’s aggregator ensures that everyone had a fair opportunity in the market as drivers are concerned. “Our enrolment regime in terms of commission is the lowest anyone can find in Nigeria now.

We allow for people with full time jobs but needing additional opportunities to be able to work and earn money,” he said while indicating that partnering drivers can retain up to 90 per cent for job completed on the app. Sulaiman also stated that the roll out of the mobile app booking platform was done to complement the web version which he indicated had been in operation since 2017 but was officially launched in March 2018. “You can now compare based on your need and book and immediately book via our mobile applications.
