Musa Sets New World Cup Record

Many soccer loving Nigerians were yesterday excited after CSKA Moscow winger, Ahmed Musa gave the Super Eagles a lifeline by waking the team from the dead with his two well taken goals against World Cup debutants Iceland in the Group D encounter at the Volgograd Arena.
Musa however made history for himself by becoming the first Nigerian player to score at two different World Cups.
At the 2014 Mundial in Brazil, Musa was on the score sheet, scoring twice in Nigeria’s 2-3 loss to Argentina in an encounter Lionel Messi also scored twice.
The former Kano Pillars player was transferred to Premiership side, Leicester in 2016 but could not pin down a regular shirt culminating to his being loaned back to CSKA Moscow, where he had since rediscovered his form.
Nigerians would be hoping that he continue with his stellar performance in Super Eagles last group game against Argentina on Tuesday.
