His children were said to have told him that they didn’t know where it was, but he pretended that all was well, and went to bed.

A member of the family who refused to disclose his name said “We thought he had forgotten only for him to wake up around 1am in the morning, went inside his room and brought out a machet and stabbed his daughter.

Narrating the ordeal, the mother of the deceased Mrs. Georgina Aguluka said it all started when her husband took to drinking.

“Since he started drinking, he has become unnecessarily troublesome, always taking offence about everything.”

Confirming the incident, the immediate younger brother of the suspect, Mr.  Sabastian Aguluka said that his brother had been acting like that especially with members of his family including himself.

The brothers of the deceased young lady who are twins Sochima and Chideraa Aguluka told THISDAY that they sensed trouble that night and decided to run out of the house because their father always looked for excuses to molest them.

The suspect it was learnt fled the house upon committing the crime, while the deceased is said to have been buried immediately after autopsy was conducted on her.

Attempt to confirm the tragic incident with the police public relations officer of Anambra State police command, Mr. Haruna Mohammed failed as he did not pick his calls.
