A Climactic End to Legend Real Deal Experience

Since last February, Legend, the premium beer brand has been on an exciting musical journey, bringing undiluted entertainment to music fans across the nation through its music concert, Legend Real Deal Experience. From Nnewi to Lagos, anywhere the Legend band stops, it left unforgettable legendary performance from music stars like Timaya, Harrysong, 9ice, Orezi and Small Doctor among others. It soon became a must-see event for most people.

As the excitement and anticipation grew, the brand responded by raising its ante. Each edition of the concert rewarded consumers with consolation prizes that left smiles on many faces. From refrigerators to generators, fans had more than they bargained for with spectacular performances from their favourite artistes.

Unlike previous editions, this year witnessed a rare spectacle. Femi Kuti was honoured with a legendary award in Lagos. The award came two weeks after Femi and his sister, Yeni marked the annual week-long festivity to honour the life and times of their father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
Expectedly, every good thing must come to an end. For its last leg, the organisers threw everything in the ring to give a fantastic show. Held recently in Abakaliki in Ebonyi state, music lovers in the city turned out in good number at the venue, Abakaliki Township Stadium. The frenzy was heightened by the headliner act, Harrysong who delivered a thrilling performance.

As he mounted the stage, a deafening applause greeted him and grew louder as he grabbed the mic and sang his popular hits, starting out with the very popular ‘Reggae Blues’ hit and then proceeded with other hits like ‘Samankwe’ and ‘Baba for the Girls’.
Popularly known for his energetic stage performance, Harrysong left the crowd asking for more. Most of them didn’t want his session to end.

In its usual tradition, the brand gave out fantastic gifts to winners of competitions at the event. The winners of the competition that held on the brand social media page were also announced and they went home with N50, 000 cash prizes, while several others went home with fantastic prizes like flat screen TV and refrigerator.

Speaking on the Real Deal Experience’s final stop in Abakaliki, the Brand Manager – Stout, Nigerian Breweries, Oluseun Lawal stated that,
“The brand’s nationwide tour has visited a lot of major cities in Nigeria this year and we’re excited about how great it turned out.” Other cities visited include Aba, Enugu, Uyo, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
