President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Ankara, the Turkish capital ahead of the D-8 summit taking place in Istanbul friday.
The president, according to a tweet by the presidency in Nigeria on its twitter handle, @NGRPresident, said Buhari who left the country about noon yesterday arrived Esenboga International Airport, Ankara along with his wife, son and daughter. He was said to have arrived at 8.20p.m local time.
“Pres@MBuhari arrives Esenboga Int’l Airport, Ankara, Turkey. Received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Turkey; Gov of Ankara and other official,†the tweet read.
An earlier tweet before the take-off, containing the president’s photograph and those of his family members said: “President @MBuhari, and son and daughter aboard the presidential jet, enroute to Turkey, today.â€
