The Senator representing Abia Central, Theodore Orji, has disassociated himself from posts on Facebook suggesting he is floating an agriculture loan project.

In a statement signed by Orji’s Media Adviser and Legislative Aide, Chief Eddie Onuzuruike, the senator noted that anybody participating in the loan scheme is doing so at his or her own risk.

“Our attention has been drawn to false postings on the Facebook about an Agric Loan project floated by Senator T. A. Orji, Ochendo. The public is hereby warned that there is no such project and so advised to disassociate Senator Orji and his office with such a scam,” the statement said.

“Our projects like the Senator T. A. Orji annual scholarship scheme for tertiary institutions, are coordinated from the constituency office at No. 32 Ojike Street, Umuahia, Abia State and supervised by a well constituted body of stakeholders drawn from the six local government areas of Umuahia North and South, Ikwuano, Osisioma Isiala Ngwa North and South that make up the Abia Central Senatorial District. Notices of our projects are well publicised on newspapers, TV, and radio.”
