Chocolate City Group has organised an album listening for one of its artistes, Christopher Omenye popularly known as Young L as part of activities marking the launch of his first 16 tracks album entitled: ‘Better Late Than Never (BLTN) in 13, October.

Speaking at the album listening in Lagos recently, Young L said the event has been long awaited, therefore he decided to score the songs better, “the listening should have been done earlier, “but I am happy it is being today even if it took a while.”

He also stated that he spent six months working on the album, before joining Chocolate City Group, who supported him in ensuring that the dream was realised.

Young L added that the album should have been out a long time, but for various reasons it was delivered.
He said: “The message about the album is about my personal story. It talks about where I started from. The struggle I have been through. The title of my first track which is ‘where you they’ talks about young men who are just starting their career pursuit, and how has the journey been for them.

“People always think it’s easy since you are with Jude Abaga popularly known as Mr. Incredible (MI) and Panshak Zamani popularly known as Ice Prince. The going is not easy; I had to hustle to eke out a living for myself. If I didn’t hard work to achieve my dreams I will not have gained the respect of my fans and friends, I will still continue to rely on people for support for everything I need.

“My motivation is my fans. They are wonderful people. They will disturb you till they see your latest hint song and I have always said before I joined Chocolate City, I was doing everything independently, I keep my focus and drive; I remained close to my fans. They are my number 1 motivation and support. The album was produced by Chopsticks and TUC. The genre of my music is afro-dance hall.”
