Osun State House of Assembly under the leadership of Hon. Najeem Salam has called on Nigerians to use the occasion of the 57th Independence anniversary of the country for sober reflection on the Nigerian state.
The state assembly in a statement by the Chairman Assembly Committee on Information and Strategy, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, maintained that though the occasion is a milestone in the history of the country, it calls for sincere evaluation and measurement of the journey so far.
 He noted noted that at 57, it is worrisome that the country was bogged down by issues of ethnicity, nepotism and is yet to realise her potential as giant of Africa.
