Economic Recovery: Babalakin Harps on Creativity, Change of Mindset

A Legal Luminary Dr. Wale Babalakin has challenged Nigerians to work away from the age of administering resources but rather be creative in their daily activities in order to assist in the quick economic recovery the nation is currently yearning for.

Babalakin who stated this at Osun State University, where
he presided over as the Chairman of the 6th Convocation Lecture of the Institution, also contended that the nation would bounce back if the people imbibe the spirit of creativity.

According to him, “Nigerians need to bring Intellectuals work to the fore-front and be creative in all ramifications to help in the
development and the growth of the Economy.”

He also posited that there must be an inclusive efforts in the
management of the nation’s resources by changing the mind-set of the people towards creativity.

Babalakin who equally stressed that the nation would experience enough if everybody should embrace the act of creativity further noted that efforts should be geared toward innovation at all level.

However in his Lecture titled, “Making a World Class University”, a former Chancellor of University of Ibadan Professor, Olufemi Adebisi Bamiro, posited that pressing challenges of the 21st century must be taught about.

He equally urged universities across the country to always imbibe in graduates, research for development and be firm in decision making at all times.

Bamiro also called on the universities to look for strategic thinkers for the development in order to be rated among world class universities.
