The Opening Night of Heineken LFDW Presentation of  “Identity”

AAKS, Gozel Green, Kelechi Odu, Lisa Folawiyo, Orange Culture, Post Imperial, Ré and Shem Paronelli unveiled their autumn/winter collections, at “Identity,” at the Red Door Gallery.

 Each designer had a designated space at the gallery that was curated specifically to their individual aesthetics. 

Select guests were able to explore and forge their viewing experience as they moved from room to room, intrigued by the blend of art and fashion.  The event was in collaboration with Red Door gallery.

Omoyemi Akerele the organiser of the Heineken LFDW was delighted and was thrilled to attend to of guests. These are faces of some the people who attended the opening.

The Dare2Dream Team together with the main partners Imperial Leather, FCMB, Canoe, Wazobia TV and Wazobia MAX, met at Chocolat Royal on Wednesday for a press brunch to announce publicly the airing of the 16 new episodes of Dare2Dream Season3. that aims to inspire the youths of Nigeria.

 Tatiana Moussalli (DGMD Wazobia TV, Wazobia Max, Wazobia FM & Cool FM] talked about youth talents and the importance of setting goals and working hard. 

She added that even when  the  contestants don’t win, they  should keep working  hard and never let go of  the humility and determination to transform themselves from a young talent to an established personality.     Representing   the  bank   partner,   Kemi  Akintowu  mentioned   that  through  the Flexx zone, FCMB created a series of online services and career programs to support the youths.

Mannie Essien, OAP of Cool FM, a Bootcamp mentor and the presenter of the Grand Finale, pointed out that “the show is not just a reality show but a community project that links the untrained to the professional. It reaches a countless number of women in Nigeria who by ordinary effort might not be able to explore their God given talent.”

A presentation of what the Dare2Dream initiative stands for was led by Caterina showing the figures and success recorded over the years and what the contestants always stood to gain through a testimonial video from the contestants of Dare2Dream.

Mildred  Baghaw  of   Imperial   Leather   explained   that   the   masterclasses   were   designed  to provide the girls with business insights and life skills that could be explored for their future personal and career development”.

Josephine Eno, the Season1 finalist and Dare2Dream production team member for Season2 and Season3, shared how the project has evolved from a modelling contest in Season1 to a platform that truly empowers young people precisely transferring soft and creative skills that can be used to become a MSME (micro-small medium entreprise).

The project is growing towards the international marketing since the past season’s finalists were   surprised   with   trip   to   Milan   for   agency   interviews   and  Vogue   Italia   feature  on Dare2Dream this week:

Conference of #IsokenThe Movie

The press conference for the movie, Isoken, held at the protea Hotel Victoria Island, unveiling for the first time, the film’s official trailer to members of the press. Present were Nollywood heavyweights and stars of the film; Dakore Akande, Funke Akindele, Patrick Doyle and new entrant, Bolanle Olukanni as well as the film’s financier, Bank of Industry and distributor, Silverbird Film Distribution.

Speaking at the press conference, Bank Of Industry’s Head of Creative Banking Group, Mrs. Cynthia Uche Nwuka, said “At BOI we are very passionate about working with young film makers and Jade Osiberu was the first of such, with BOI buying into her passion and commitment to story telling through film, we are happy with what we’ve seen today and equally proud to be affiliated with this project.” 

Addressing the media, the executive producer for the movie and former

 MD, Daily Times Nigeria, Dr. Yemi Ogunbiyi added, “The Nigerian film industry is growing and the growth is even more evident in the works put out by young film makers like Jade, who is passionate and has remained focused. So it was important to give her all the necessary support.” 

“Jade was fully committed to this project from inception, ensuring she put her all into making this a reality.”

 The media got the first peek of the newly released movie trailer, setting the tone for what to expect from the movie.

Breezi Signs Deal with Three Singles

Newest entrant into Nigeria’s music scene, Oluwatosin ‘Breezi’ Adesanya has already set the ball rolling by signing a management deal with WePushContent and releasing three monster hit singles.

 The multi-talented performer who reportedly signed a mega recording deal with a Nigeria-UK based recording company – Savage Music Inc recently, also revealed via Snapchat that he will drop follow-up singles in a matter of weeks.  Interestingly, Breezi has already click on the reset button of Nigeria pop music with the release of three new singles namely, AmugboNation, Share and For My Girlfriend.

 The new singles has been described by the EFG boss as appetisers, adding that he intends to do better with subsequent releases. 

Breezi further disclosed his sound is influenced by Ghanaian Hi-life, Afro Beat and Juju music, also expressed his desire to be a sought after artiste in the music industry.

On the kind of music he performs, the entertainer posited thus: “Well, let’s just say I do relevant and sensible music. My sound is influenced by Afrobeat, Juju, Pop. Yes, I started out as a rapper, but right now, I’m more comfortable doing evergreen music.”

 Breezi has been in the music scene for over a decade before he decided to fully venture in the music business. 

On his management deal with WePushContent, the gap-toothed singer revealed, “It is something that has been in the pipeline for quite a while really. We were just waiting on God and the right time so yeah, God has said yes.”

Taittinger Media Launch

The Taittinger Champagne was recently introduced to the media and the Nigerian market. It is one of the few family-owned champagne houses available and is considered one of the top five in the world. Taittinger champagne is solely imported by Chief Tunde Onakoya of TEO Limited. He has been in the champagne business for over a decade.

 Taittinger champagne is the official champagne for FIFA, BAFTA and the SAG Awards.
