Media Reach OMD Represents Nigeria at Cannes, Wins Young Lions Media Competition

For a record eight consecutive times, Media Reach OMD will be flying Nigerian flag as the world gather again in June in Cannes, France during the annual International Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity. This is because the media buying agency has again won the Young Lions Media, Nigeria Competition and Young Pro Media – West Africa Championship.

The competition was open to media professionals below 30 years in media agencies in Nigeria. 

Nine teams that took part in the competition were given a brief and had little over 24 hours to think, create and submit a media solution that answers the media brief.  Finally, based on the presentations to the jury which comprises of media communications and creative professionals, the winning campaign was chosen according to criteria used for the international competition.

The Young Lions competition will offer the next generation of industry players a chance to prove themselves by creating campaigns during the festival week, where more than 400 contestants representing various countries around the globe would compete in seven categories, namely media, cyber, design, print, film, marketers and public relations.
