Iwuoha Uzonna Christian, whose stage name is Kriss, kicked off his career with a humble background and recently was signed by GMG Records as one of their lead acts. In this chat with Tosin Clegg, he talks music, life and lots more
Tell us a bit about your background?
I’m Iwuoha Uzonna Christian and I‘m from Imo State. I’m the third born of a family of two boys and a girl. I grew up in Surulere, Lagos state with my family but lost both parents within a space of two years.
When did you begin your career?
I started my music career at the age of 13 when I discovered my talent. I was pretty young then and I have kept up with the struggle up till now.
What kind of music do you do?
I do RnB, Highlife, Afro Beat and Soul.
Who are your mentors and music influences?
My mentors are 2face and Wizkid, while I regard Banky W as my musical influence, as his style of music is exceptional.
What’s exceptional about you?
My way of life is what makes me exceptional, and that sets me apart from the rest.
