Oyeyemi Approves Posting of Senior Officers

Following the recent promotion of senior and other intermediate officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the Corps Marshal, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi has approved the posting of some of the newly promoted officers.

Those involved in the posting are the Deputy Corps Marshal, Assistant Corps Marshals and Corps Commanders, who are all expected to report to their new Commands latest by Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

According to a statement by the Head Media Relations and Strategy of the FRSC, Bisi Kazeem, some of the affected officers are Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM) Dauda Biu, who retains his present position as the Head of Finance and Accounts at the National Headquarters of the Corps.

Other officers, who had their designations changed to reflect their new ranks, are: ACM JK Fanola, formerly, the Corps Secretary, who is proceeding on course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) and is being replaced by ACM SA Ajenge, formerly the Sector Commander Niger State.

Also affected are ACM EP Osawe, who remains the Head of Corps Safety Engineering Office at the Headquarters; ACM TG Eseyin, who was formerly the Zonal Head of operations, has now been posted to the Corps Marshal’s Office; ACM GI Igbokwe retains his office as the Corps Budget Officer; ACM AI Moore of the Corps Transport Safety Officer also retains his office.

ACM F Osakwe, who was formerly the head of Section, Discipline under the Admin and Human Resources at the National Headquarters, is now the ACM Administration under the Administration and Human Resource department.

Bisi Kazeem added that apart from ACM A. Omiyale, former Zonal Commanding Officer, Kogi who is now Zonal Commanding Officer Sokoto; and ACM P. Kibo, former Zonal Commanding Officer Imo who is now Zonal Commanding Officer Bauchi, all other former Zonal Commanding Officers would remain in their present Zones.

The Head, Media Relations and Strategy further stated that five out of 12 Corps Commanders presently serving as Zonal Head of Operations have been redeployed to other zones in the same capacity, while 5 out of 37 Corps Commanders presently serving as Sector Commanders were posted out.

In line with the new designations, the Corps Marshal called on the Officers to continue to be committed to their schedules and share in the vision of making Nigerian roads safer.
