Magu Joins Buhari for Jumat Service

Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu on Friday joined President Muhammadu Buhari and other Muslim faithful to worship at the Presidential Villa mosque. Magu is currently undergoing a probe on allegation of corrupt practices contained in a report submitted to the Senate by the Department of State Service, (DSS).

Magu appeared not bothered by the allegations against him as he exchanged pleasantries with Staff while leaving the State House. He however didn’t speak to Journalists. The Senate had declined to clear Magu as EFCC chairman citing the damaging DSS report. However, following public outcry that greeted the Senate’s decision, the President on December 18, 2016 directed the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Mr. Abubakar Malami, SAN to initiate a probe against Magu.
