Mimiko Talks Tough on Rejection of His Fingerprint by Card Reader

Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, talked tough on the ongoing election as the card reader deployed to Unit 20 Ward 7, Ondo West Local Government Area, rejected his fingerprint.

After the rejection, he was subsequently given an incident form, which he completed before he was allowed to cast his vote around 11.30am.

Mimiko said if this could happen to him, he wondered what the situation could be in many places for other people.

He also alleged that the electorate were openly induced monetarily by politicians,

Mimiko, who condemned the practice, stating that the people of the state would resist manipulation of the electoral process.

Meanwhile, THISDAY also gathered that card readers deployed to some units in Ile Oluji Okeigbo Local Government Area and in Akure South Local Government Area malfunctioned.
