Gionee S6s Mobile Phone Launched with Unique Selfie Flash

Gionee has launched the latest of its ‘S’ series mobile phones into the Nigerian market, called Gionee S6s, which comes with unique selfie flash that enables customers take a snapshot of sharp and bright selfie photos, even in the darkest part of the night.

Announcing the launch of Gionee S6s in Lagos recently, the Group Chief Executive Officer, Gionee Mobile, Mr. Chen Lei said the mobile phone is unique, and comes with 4G LTE capabilities, back fingerprint, 13 mega pixel and 8 mega pixel for its rear and front camera respectively, and 3150mAh battery life that keeps the phone alive for days when heavily used. According to Lei, the device runs on Android 6.0, which makes connectivity and navigation a lot faster and easier.
He said the mobile phone was designed and specially targeted to meet the data and voice needs of all strata of customers who want to identify with modern day mobile technology.

“The Gionee S6s is a global product that meets the global needs of all categories of customers who have passion for device that has a combination of aesthetics and features that enhance productivity,” Lei said.

Head, Marketing, Gionee Nigeria, Mr. SomoyoHabeeb, said the company had to come up with unique features of Gionee S6s, based on customers’ demand, following a global market survey, which include Nigeria that was conducted by Gionee Mobile. We understand that people across globe want to take a selfie to express their looks and we came up with the Gionee S6s that has unique selfie flash that makes photo images sharp and bright, even when taken in the dark.

Speaking on the marketing strategies to bring the mobile phone to the doorsteps of Nigerians, Habeeb said the brand was purposefully designed to attract users and that customers would not be able to resist it at first sight and at first usage.

According to him, the pre-order sales of the phone commenced last week and would last for 10 days, before the device would be made available in all phone shops and across all its customer care centres in the country. He said fantastic prizes await those that would take advantage of the pre-order sales.

He explained that Gionee has several customer service centres spread across Nigeria to meet the needs of customers, which include repairs and maintenance of Gionee mobile phone devices.
Launched in 2011 in Nigeria, Gionee, a Chinese based phone manufacturer, has come up with various brands of mobile phones for the Nigerian market that have since gained wide acceptance among Nigerians.

Although the company still manufactures and assembles in China, Lei said plans were underway for the consideration of assembling of Gionee mobile devices in Nigeria. He said Gionee set aside $8 million to invest in the Nigerian market this year and that the company had since 2014 invested over $10 million in marketing its mobile devices in Nigeria.
