The residents of Oloje area of Ilorin in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State was yesterday thrown into mourning, following the reported death of a middle-age woman simply identified as Medina after she jumped into a well in the area. The deceased, according to THISDAY checks, was said to have left the comfort of her room about 4:30a.m. on Monday without anyone suspecting what she was up to, only for her lifeless body to be found in a well in the morning of wednesday.
It was gathered that her body was said to have been discovered by some residents who went to fetch water from the well. Shocked by what they saw, the residents according to sources, raised the alarm which attracted the attention of sympathisers following which the deceased’s body was recovered from the well. No reason was established for her action but sources close to the family said the deceased had for some times exhibited traits of someone suffering from depression.
