Air Force Chief Pledges to Reposition Service to Meet Current Challenges

*Commissions Multi-million Naira Projects in Enugu

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar, on Sunday reaffirmed his commitment to reposition the nation’s air force so as to effectively meet the 21st century’s security challenges.

Abubakar spoke as he commissioned multi-million naira new and renovated projects at the Air Force Comprehensive School, Agbani, Enugu state.

He said the commissioning of the projects was part of the ongoing efforts to reposition the Air Force into a highly professional and disciplined force through capacity building initiatives.

Air Marshal Abubakar who was represented by the Chief of Administration of the NAF, Air Vice Marshal Augustine Jekenu said construction of the new and renovated projects was necessitated by the dilapidation of infrastructure at the school established in 2012.

He said the projects including the renovated Dining hall, renovated 5 classroom blocks, administrative blocks, 3 blocks of students’ hostels, new drainages, reclaimed football field and the brand new 8-bed clinic were clear indications that his administration was committed to the welfare of the students.
