Following what it described as fruitful consultations presently going on within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Concerned Youths Group has shelved its threat to intervene and take over in the affairs of the party.

The group noted that after several consultations and meetings, the PDP is “now back and better with the structures coming together and stronger like never before.”

In a statement jointly issued late Tuesday evening by the group’s chairman, Segun Aderemi and Secretary, Prince Chux-Davix Onyemaka, the concerned youths pointed to the peaceful manner in which the recent gubernatorial primary elections were held in Edo State as a sign that the party is back on track.

“We the aforementioned body wish to use this medium to reaffirm our commitment to the growth of our dear party and to inform the public about our present stand on the recent internal squabbles that almost tore the largest political party in West Africa apart,” the statement said.
