Despite a boldly written order asking people to keep off a house allegedly belonging to Governor Seriake Dickson’s former Special Assistant on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), Mr. Apere Embelakpo, it was learnt on Saturday that a section of the property was still being occupied.
Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), it was gathered, last Tuesday sealed buildings and other property along 77, Azikoro Road, Yenagoa, the state capital, allegedly belonging to the former government official .
However, as at Saturday, the palatial and tastefully furnished building which was earlier taken over by the anti-graft agency, still had some occupants, it was observed.
The occupants, mainly youths, attacked The Nation correspondent in Yenagoa with stones when he attempted to take pictures of the building.
The hard material which missed the journalist by the whiskers however damaged a part of his vehicle.
Three officials of the anti-graft agency accompanied by some mobile policemen had earlier stormed the property located on Azikoro Road, before inscribing on the fence, , “ Property under EFCC investigation, keep off.”
