Bridge Seed Global and Tingo AI to Host African Startup Demo Day in Lagos

Bridge Seed Global, in Partnership with Tingo AI, Set to Host Africa’s Biggest Demo Day in Lagos, Bringing Together 20 Founders and Leading African Investors.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Tingo AI office on Victoria Island and marks the end of an 12-week accelerator programme. Participating startups come from Ghana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Egypt and Nigeria and operate in sectors that include artificial intelligence, agriculture, financial technology, healthcare, mobility, logistics and sustainability.

Among the investors expected to attend is Dr Akintoye Akindele, founder and chairman of Platform Capital, a firm and family office reported to manage about $1.5 billion in assets. Dozy Mmobuosi, founder of Tingo Group, is also listed among the confirmed participants, alongside other high-net-worth individuals and investment representatives.

Prosperity needs to be democratised to every African founder, says Ola Josh, senior managing partner at Bridge Seed Global, and we believe that no one is too young to contribute meaningfully to national development. The event is framed as part of a wider effort to widen access to capital and networks.
Josh argued that African entrepreneurs should play a more active role in shaping technology and business outcomes rather than remaining dependent on external decisions. “Africa must become an active participant in shaping the future of technology, business, and global innovation,” he added. “We have the talent, the ideas, and the entrepreneurial ambition. What we must continue to build are the institutions, investment networks, and opportunities that allow our founders to translate these ideas into globally competitive businesses.”

The 20 ventures scheduled to present include Cubbes, eAgro, Nyamula Logistics, Dawn AI, Urban Tech for Hope, Dosy Bikes, Farmanet, Neural Labs, E-Moti, Scout Online, Vet Konect, Titilayo Showroom, Natal Cares, Ecopure, Payless AI, StrucLeaf, Hot Drops, Pollen Patrollers, Nderezina Hatchery and Oasis.
Founders will pitch their businesses, demonstrate products and seek capital, commercial partnerships or strategic advice. Selected founders are also invited to participate in both virtual and physical pitch event during the event.
Bridge Seed Global has also be hosting venture capital firms, angel networks, family offices, institutional investors, government representatives and development finance institutions in the live event; which promises to be the biggest ever. The organisation describes the Demo Day as both the conclusion of its current accelerator cohort and an attempt to strengthen direct connections between African founders and African capital.

Whether the event produces concrete investment commitments will depend on the quality of the pitches and the readiness of attending investors. For the organisers, the immediate objective is to place 20 early-stage companies in front of decision-makers who can offer funding, mentorship or market access.
