APM Candidate Buys 1,000 Tickets for Shooting Stars-Kano Pillars Match

The 2027 Oyo Central Senatorial District candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has purchased 1,000 tickets for supporters of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) to attend the club’s Nigeria Premier Football League fixture against Kano Pillars in Ibadan today.

The match is scheduled to hold at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, with kick-off at 4 p.m.

Ajadi said the gesture was aimed at supporting the Ibadan-based club and encouraging young people to participate in sporting activities.

“I am delighted to provide 1,000 tickets for our people to watch Shooting Stars play Kano Pillars. This is not just about football; it is about supporting our young people, encouraging our local talents and bringing our communities together through sports,” he said.

He said football remained an important avenue for youth engagement and community interaction, adding that the support of fans could encourage players during matches.

Ajadi urged beneficiaries of the tickets to conduct themselves peacefully and responsibly during the match.

“I appeal to everyone coming to the stadium through these tickets to support our team peacefully and responsibly. Let us make the stadium a place of excitement, unity and encouragement for our players,” he said.

The tickets are expected to be distributed among supporters from Oyo Central Senatorial District and other parts of the state.

The senatorial district comprises 11 local government areas, including Atiba, Afijio, Ogo-Oluwa, Ona-Ara, Egbeda, Oluyole, Akinyele, Lagelu, Oyo West, Oyo East and Surulere.

Ajadi said his interest in the initiative was to support sports and youth participation, while encouraging interest in football and other sporting activities.
