Nkechi Blessing, Phyna Set for October 1 Face Off

Nollywood Actress, Nkechi Blessing and Big Brother Naija Season 7 Winner, Phyna, are both set for a face-to-face intense bout at the Chaos in the Ring set for an October 1st 2026 showdown at the prestigious Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace, Lagos.

The organisers of the event, Balmoral Promotions led by Ezekiel Adamu held a press briefing ahead of the bout as well as the official contract signing between both parties. During the brief he shared more about the vision for the celebrity boxing event, the Phyna vs NBS showdown, and what fans can look forward to when the fighters step into the ring on October 1.

Since the official announcement both parties have sharing with fans their intense workout schedules proving to their base they are deserving of the win and obviously showing workings towards the direction of it. Phyna has had an earlier edge with her trainings but Nkechi although late to the agenda she has gotten herself up and running towards a night that beefs get settled but most importantly create an entertaining spectacle for their fans across board. 

Prior to the briefing held this week both parties have been using their social media platforms to throw jabs at each other expressing how they would knockout the other mercilessly without repentance. Phyna is known to be an electrifying personality whose ginger can be felt on and off the screen. Proudly celebrating her Edo heritage she is set to give fans an unusual expression of herself during the bout.

For Nkechi Blessing she is more reserved and real with her personality although not as engaging as Phyna but she also commands heights of a win possibilities considering her nature. But largely both parties would help define who is deserving of a win next week on the 1st of October as the much anticipated fight is building momentum and gradually increasing in interest among fans and boxing enthusiasts. 

Beyond the expected punches, cheers and competitive spirit, the celebrity boxing showdown between the two stars is expected to deliver a spectacle that is much about entertainment as it was about competition. Both women are expected to give fans a memorable display of determination, confidence and showmanship. In the end, the bout would prove that celebrity boxing can create a unique platform where stars step outside their usual comfort zones, entertain their audience and inspire others to embrace new challenges.
