Complete Sports Celebrity Workout 3.0 Set to Take Lagos by Storm
Fitness enthusiasts, sports lovers, celebrities and wellness-conscious Nigerians are set to converge at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Saturday, October 10, for the third edition of the Complete Sports Celebrity Workout (CSCW).
The event, scheduled for 7 a.m. to noon, promises a morning of fitness, entertainment, games, wellness activities and preventive healthcare, with participation free for members of the public.
Following the success of the previous edition held in 2023, CSCW 3.0 is expected to provide an even bigger platform for participants to embrace healthy living while enjoying an engaging social and fitness experience.
The workout will feature a range of activities led by fitness professionals and celebrities, including Tabata, aerobics, functional fitness and yoga.
Beyond the exercise sessions, participants will have the opportunity to take part in games and win prizes, while music, entertainment and free refreshments will add to the atmosphere.
A key attraction of this year’s event will be the provision of free health screenings as organisers seek to place preventive healthcare at the heart of the fitness initiative.
Participants will be able to access checks covering blood pressure, fasting blood sugar, height, weight and body mass index (BMI).
Other screenings will include fundoscopy, colour vision tests, preliminary eye examinations and visual acuity checks.
The organisers said the health component was designed to encourage participants to pay greater attention to their health and embrace preventive measures alongside physical fitness.
Wellness sessions will also be delivered by health professionals, including representatives of Healthtracka, Vision Planet Eye Clinic and Pharmacist Temidayo Olamiju of the Lagos State Primary Healthcare Board.
The event is headlined by Complete Sports, with support from Bodyline Fitness & Gym, Healthtracka, Vision Planet Eye Clinic, Pocari Sweat, Aquafina, Nazam and the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK).
With the combination of celebrity participation, structured workout sessions, entertainment and free medical screenings, CSCW 3.0 is positioned as an experience that goes beyond conventional fitness activities.
The organisers are encouraging families, friends, sports enthusiasts, fitness communities and members of the public to turn up and be part of the event.
However, organisers said interested participants would be required to register ahead of the event.
For participants, the message is simple: come ready to move, connect, have fun and take a positive step towards a healthier lifestyle.
According to the organisers, participation is free, but registration is compulsory.
