PREESH: Port Harcourt Streamer Building a New Generation of Digital Community

By Ayo Ake

Port Harcourt-based digital creator and live streamer, Precious Bestman, popularly known as PREESH, is building an online platform around streaming, fashion and youth culture, with a focus on creating digital communities for young Nigerians.

Known across social media as @xpreesh and by his audience as “Preesh The CityBoy,” Bestman has built his presence around live content, direct audience interaction and a street-inspired fashion identity associated with Port Harcourt.

Unlike many online aliases, PREESH is derived directly from his first name, Precious. Bestman said he deliberately shortened the name to create a digital identity that could develop beyond a personal nickname into a broader media brand.

“PREESH was intentionally developed as more than a personal nickname,” he said.

Operating primarily on Twitch as @xpreesh, with a presence across Instagram, TikTok, X and Threads, Bestman uses live sessions to engage audiences on entertainment, lifestyle and youth culture.

His online persona combines what he describes as a “CityBoy” aesthetic, including striped jerseys, face coverings and streetwear, with the immediacy of live streaming.

“For me it’s not just about streaming,” Bestman said. “It’s about building a community where young people in Port Harcourt feel seen and represented online.”

The creator said his digital identity evolved significantly in 2026, as PREESH moved from being primarily an online handle to becoming a recognisable part of his public profile.

His work in digital content creation and youth community building has also attracted attention from Nigerian media organisations, including Vanguard, P.M. News and Independent Newspapers.

For Bestman, however, the wider ambition extends beyond building an individual online following. He wants to contribute to putting Port Harcourt and the wider South-South region on the map of Nigeria’s growing streaming and creator economy.

He streams regularly on Twitch and distributes clips from his live sessions across his social media platforms under the @xpreesh identity.

As Nigeria’s creator economy continues to develop, the emergence of platform-native creators such as PREESH reflects a broader shift in how young people produce and consume media.

For a new generation of creators, digital platforms provide an opportunity to build audiences independently, develop communities around shared interests and take local cultural identities to audiences beyond Nigeria.

For PREESH, the immediate task is to continue developing that community from Port Harcourt while building a digital identity capable of reaching beyond the city.
