The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (nahco aviance), has announced its appointment by Air France-KLM (AFKL) as its ticketing General Sales Agent (GSA) in Nigeria.
The appointment authorises NAHCO, through its subsidiary, NAHCO Travel andHospitality Limited, to sell tickets on behalf of the European mega carrier.
The agreement is slated to run for five years.
The company said the contract marks a significant shift from previous operations and a new chapter in NAHCO’s partnership with Air France-KLM.
Previously, NAHCO managed AFKL’s terminal Airport Ticket Offices (ATO), delivered as part of the Standard Ground Handling Agreement (SGHA) between the parties.
The new GSA contract is a distinct and fresh commercial agreement, formally expanding NAHCO’s scope into full City Ticketing Office sales and retail ticket distribution throughout Nigeria.
Speaking on the development, NAHCO’s Group Executive Director, Commercial and Business Development (CBD), Prince Saheed Lasisi, emphasised that the appointment marks a milestone in the longstanding partnership between NAHCO and Air France-KLM.
He said, “Moving from handling airport terminal ticketing under the traditional SGHA framework to assuming full commercial ticketing authority across Nigeria demonstrates the immense trust Air France–KLM places in our corporate capabilities and market reach.”
