Dan RicHeE Sets August 26 for ‘WAVE’ Release

Nigerian recording artist and New Skool Ogene (NSO) founder, Dan RicHeE, has announced August 26 as the release date for his new single, WAVE, the lead record from his forthcoming project, PAGES II.

The single marks the beginning of the rollout for PAGES II, described as the next chapter in the expansion of New Skool Ogene, the cultural sound system founded by the artist to explore indigenous expression through contemporary music.

Opening with the traditional Igbo Oja, WAVE blends indigenous instrumentation with modern production, reflecting the philosophy that has shaped the NSO movement.

Speaking on the decision to lead with the record, Dan RicHeE said WAVE was chosen because it immediately establishes the cultural direction of the project.

“The Oja introduces listeners to the world of PAGES II from the very first note. It was important that the journey began with culture,” he said.

The official music video has been completed ahead of the release and is expected to complement the single’s visual identity by combining contemporary aesthetics with cultural symbolism.

Following the release of WAVE, Dan RicHeE is expected to unveil the seven-track PAGES II project in September, continuing the evolution of New Skool Ogene through collaboration and contemporary cultural expression.
