I Don’t Just Host Events, I Become Part of the Experience” — Randy Pee on Why He Changed Outfits Three Times at a Wedding

At the wedding of Aju, popularly known as Queen Bee of Bumblebee Events, and Telimoye, one thing stood out about the host, Randy Pee. He wore three different outfits through the course of the celebration.

When asked why, Randy Pee said it was intentional, but it was also because this wasn’t just one event. It was essentially a 2-in-1 wedding celebration, with the main wedding reception transitioning into a cultural reception before we moved into the after-party.

So, when I saw the couple moving through these different phases and changing their outfits to match each experience, I felt I should evolve with them too. This was also the wedding of someone I deeply respect as an event professional, so I wanted to give her the kind of experience I would expect any premium client to receive. I don’t just host events, I become part of the experience.

Taking us through the looks, Randy Pee fondly called The King of Classy Events explained: I started in a well-tailored black suit for the white wedding entrance and reception. As we transitioned into the cultural reception, I changed into a rich Nigerian traditional ensemble—a red sleeveless don over a white etibo, a flowing red skirt, black cap and sunglasses. Then, for the after-party, I changed again into a more relaxed party look. The second and third looks were styled by Enhayes Clothiers.

Each outfit represented the phase of the celebration we were in, so the changes were really about matching the energy and atmosphere of each part of the event.
