Big Chinni Lights Up Mr & Miss UNIJOS 2026 Pageant

Amid cheers from students, colourful displays and an animated atmosphere at the University of Jos campus, the “Ololufe” crooner, Big Chinni, delivered a live performance at the 2026 Mr & Miss UNIJOS pageant held on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Speaking on her performance at the event, the Afro Soul singer said, “Performing at Mr & Miss UNIJOS was about more than just music—it was about connecting with the next generation and celebrating everything this campus represents.”

Big Chinni was among the guest performers at the annual pageant, which brought together students to celebrate talent, confidence, fashion and creativity. Her performance added to the entertainment lineup of the event, with the singer describing the audience response as memorable. “The energy from the students was incredible, and it reminded me why live performances remain such an important part of my journey,” she said.

The pageant, which featured students competing for the Mr & Miss UNIJOS titles, was sponsored by NASCO Cornflakes and attracted members of the university community. The event provided a platform for students to showcase their talents while celebrating campus culture and creativity.

Reflecting on her participation, Big Chinni said performing at platforms that connect artistes with young audiences remains significant to her. “It’s always rewarding to be part of platforms that celebrate young people and inspire them to dream bigger,” she said.
