Danny S has become one of the notable voices in Nigeria’s street-hop movement, building a career around a unique blend of Afrobeats, Fuji, and street-inspired sounds.

Born Ojo Daniel Olaborode on 11 November 1995 in Ilorin, Nigeria, the singer, songwriter, and performer has spent years developing a style that connects with everyday listeners. Originally from Igbole, Ekiti State, Danny S has used his music to represent the energy, struggles, and celebrations of Nigerian street culture.

His interest in music started at an early age, leading him to record his first song, “Shengbenne,” in 2013. After years of growth and experimentation, he gained wider recognition in 2018 with “Ege (Dribble),” a song that helped establish his name in the Nigerian music industry.

The success of “Ege” opened doors for more popular releases, including “Japaa” and “Waka Jeje,” featuring Olamide. These songs strengthened his reputation as an artist capable of creating catchy records while maintaining his street-hop identity.
