QuickMed ARAYA Unveils Digital Health Platform to Bridge Nigeria’s Care Gap
QuickMed ARAYA, has unveiled a new telemedicine platform aimed at addressing critical challenges within Nigeria’s healthcare system, including limited access to specialists, rising out-of-pocket costs, and widening inequality in care delivery.
The platform is designed to bridge these gaps by leveraging digital technology to connect patients with qualified medical professionals remotely, improve access to timely care, and offer more affordable and inclusive healthcare solutions across underserved communities.
Speaking at the launch, Olu Kunuyi, the chief executive officer, stated that, “We are not just launching a company, we are unveiling a new way of thinking about healthcare, What started as a vision of a healthcare system that truly works for everyone is now unfolding into reality—where access to quality care is no longer defined by geography, cost, or circumstance.”
The platform has been launched to leverage mobile technology to connect patients with licensed doctors in real time, regardless of their geographical location. By bridging this gap, the platform aims to ease the strain on Nigeria’s healthcare system, particularly in urban centers where hospitals are often overcrowded. According to the firm, the solution will help decongest medical facilities while expanding access to quality healthcare for patients in rural and underserved areas, offering timely remote consultations and improving overall healthcare delivery.
Ideh Godswill, the CTO talked about the use of AI detailing that, “We’re leveraging technology to address healthcare disparities, improve health outcomes, and enhance patient experiences.
