She noted that the organisation will continue to pursue its mission of supporting various communities and vulnerable people through charity.
“Your presence here is a powerful reminder that the work of compassion, service and community development is never done alone. It is always strengthened by people who care enough to show up, to give, and to believe in the possibility of a better society.
According to her, over the past year, the foundation has continued to pursue its mission of supporting various communities and vulnerable people through charitable work.
“Through our outreach programmes, support initiatives, health interventions, and community empowerment efforts, we have been able to touch lives and restore hope where it was fading. Our slogan, ‘Love Lives Here’, is a reminder that the world can be much better when love thrives,” she said.
The CEO disclosed that the achievements recorded by the organisation in the past five years are through personal sacrifices from the Board of Trustees and members, calling for more collaboration to impact society positively.
“Today, the story of Sugarland Charity Foundation is not simply about programmes, communities or numbers. It is about people. It is about the young child who can go to school and find comfort in the learning environment, because someone cares. It is about communities that now feel seen, heard and valued. It is about you and me who have made our every endeavour and project possible over the years.”
She added that the AGM provides an opportunity for the foundation to reflect on the journey so far- to celebrate the milestones it has reached, review the impact of its activities, and openly discuss the direction of the foundation moving forward.
