LEXZY’s Rapid Rise in Nigeria’s Music Scene shows versatility and vision

LEXZY, a fast-emerging Nigerian musician from Imo State, is gaining attention for his versatility, rapid rise, and ability to adapt to any beat thrown his way. Since stepping into the studio in April 2025, he has quickly built momentum with releases, live performances, and a growing fanbase drawn to his authentic sound and work ethic.

LEXZY shared that his passion for music, the influence of other artists, and the joy of the creative and collaborative process inspired him to pursue entertainment. “I have always had a passion for music, the influence of other artists and the joy derived in the creative, collaborative process combined together to spur me on into entertainment,” he said.

He officially began recording in the studio in April 2025. “I officially started making music in the studio in April 2025,” LEXZY explained. Starting as a complete novice, he faced the challenge of doing everything independently. “I started as a novice had to do it all by myself, though it wasn’t easy and I had to keep pushing,” he reflected.

Among his proudest milestones are winning VIP Artist of the Year 2025 and seeing his music reach global audiences. “Wow that’s a wonderful question hmm I will say winning the VIP Artist of the year 2025. And also seeing my music gone global and that’s so special to me,” LEXZY said. “The release of my EP Rebirth the EP.”
His current projects include a live performance at Smur Lee Live in Concert in Abuja on March 27, 2026, and the ongoing promotion of his EP Rebirth, released on November 12, 2025. “Present performance? Okay I will be performing live at Smur Lee live in concert, Abuja on the 27th of March, 2026. My EP Rebirth the EP dropped Nov 12 2025 go listen to it, Rebirth the EP by LEXZY,” he noted. He also teased an upcoming single titled “Bend Am,” though no release date has been confirmed yet.

LEXZY describes his style as highly adaptable and beat-decoding. “Everyone is special in his or her own way. However I must say that I can easily decode any beat a producer makes and I can easily adapt,” he said.

To aspiring entertainers, he offered straightforward advice. “I would say be real to yourself and believe you can do it, and try to have good people around you,” LEXZY advised.
Looking forward, he is focused on growth and collaboration. “Going on tours, collaborate with other artists that like me and my sound. Fans and lovers expect good things from me, on God,” he concluded.

With his EP gaining traction, upcoming live shows, and new music on the horizon, LEXZY is positioning himself as one of Nigeria’s promising new voices in the music scene.
