The recently concluded five-day Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Business Certification (EIBIC) Programme at University of Lagos brought together thousands of students, business leaders, and industry stakeholders in a powerful celebration of entrepreneurship, innovation, and enterprise development.
A major highlight of the programme was the keynote sessions and fireside engagements led by Yemi Edun, Managing Director of Daniel Ford International, who addressed over 13,000 fresh students participating in the initiative.
Speaking on the theme: “Creativity, Innovation and the Desire to Own an Enterprise,” Edun challenged students to cultivate discipline, integrity, and strong skill development as the foundation for entrepreneurial success.
He emphasized that the habits formed during their university years could shape their ability to build sustainable businesses and compete globally.
Throughout the week-long programme, the University auditorium hosted engaging lectures, interactive discussions, and fireside conversations focused on entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation.
Students were encouraged to think beyond traditional career paths and begin developing the mindset and skills required to create and lead enterprises.
In recognition of its commitment to youth empowerment and entrepreneurial development, Daniel Ford International was honoured by the management of University of Lagos with the Champions Award, acknowledging the company’s role as a formidable partner in nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders through the EIBIC initiative.
Other distinguished awardees included Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, alongside leading organisations such as Sahara Group, Marcator Technologies, Access Bank Plc, and Workforce Group.
Special recognition was also given to Olugbesoye Olujimi, who received honours both in her personal capacity and on behalf of Emadeb Energy Services Limited.
The EIBIC programme continues to expand its impact by equipping thousands of students with the entrepreneurial mindset needed to transform ideas into enterprises.
With participation from over 13,000 students this year, the initiative reinforces the university’s commitment to preparing graduates who are not only job seekers but job creators.
For Daniel Ford International, the engagement reflects its broader mission to support youth development, enterprise creation, and innovation across Nigeria.
As the programme concluded, one message resonated clearly throughout the auditorium: the future of enterprise is already being built on university campuses.
