‘Signs of what to come in 2027’ — Dapo Lam-Adesina commends peaceful conduct of Oyo APC congress
Dapo Lam-Adesina, a former member of the house of representatives, has commended the peaceful conduct of the congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state and the election of new party executives.
The party, on Tuesday, elected Moses Adeyemo, a former deputy governor of the state, as its chairman.
Moses, who hails from Igboho in Oorelope LGA, served as deputy governor under the late Abiola Ajimobi from 2011 to 2019.
In a statement issued by his media office on Thursday, Lam-Adesina said the peaceful conduct of the party’s congresses across wards and LGAs and the state and the emergence of new leaders is a sign that the APC in Oyo is fully prepared for the 2027 elections.
He noted that the emergence of Adeyemo, who according to him, is a unifying factor, will put the party in a good stead ahead of the next year’s elections, adding that his emergence through consensus speaks volume about the unity within the APC in the state.
“Congratulations to our dear father and the new chairman of the APC in Oyo state. His emergence is, without doubt, the dawn of a new era for the party. He’s bringing his years of political and administrative experience to lead the party to victory next year,” Lam-Adesina said.
